Last Day For GreenEdge Kids after 5 Years!

After a WONDERFUL 5 years, we've decided to sell GreenEdge Kids! Thousands of customers have bought hundreds of thousands of sustainable products from us on the Largest Online Store for Sustainable Designer Children's Clothes!

But now it's time for a new chapter. As of December 31, 2012, Greenedgekids.com went offline.

We did our part in advocating buying organic kids' clothes over conventionally manufactured clothing, to help save mother earth! It wasn't just organic cotton, but our products also included bamboo, hemp, soy, tencel, wild silk, wool, and reused materials. We worked with incredible fashion designers who share our desire to use natural dyes with eco-friendly screen printing, as well as use fair trade and manufacture in the good 'ol USA!

If you are a passionate earth-friendly person who wants to pick up where we left off, please contact us at ANNIE AT GREENEDGEKIDS DOT COM. We'd love to hear from you.

We have invested in so many aspects of the green and edgy children's fashion business, ranging from thousands of clothing styles from over 40 designers to investing in our many online properties ( www.greenedgekids.com, greenedgedad(s).com,  greenedgemom(s).com, greenedgeshop(s).com, greenedgeteen(s).com, greenedgedenim.com, greenedgejean(s).com,  to name a few). We participated in green events all over North America, advertised in the most socially conscious magazines, sold our products through hundreds of online publishers, and via our Amazon, Google, and Shopzilla stores.

Here's to our customers for supporting our vision, and here's to you all for a wonderful 2013+.

Eco Fashion

Eco Fashion and sustainable design are growing in Berlin and gaining international interest. Many companies and networks based in Berlin are focusing on sustainability. And more and more consumers are preferring products manufactured in an eco-friendly way!
Start the year off right by making a change in your clothing preferences and choose GREEN!

Eco fashion is made with the environment in mind, making the toxic footprint smaller. Organic cotton and hemp are crops that make great fabrics, but also are used to eliminate the need for chemicals at the farm. Wild silk, bamboo, Tencel, organic wool, and recycled fabric are all improvements over most synthetic and conventional materials.
Color-grown cotton and naturally colored clothing require no dye chemicals at all. And even using fabric dyed with low impact dyes substantially cuts down on the volume of chemical waste resulting from the dye process.
Certified fair trade and sweatshop-free companies eliminate the abuse of people for clothing production. And also, when you live in the USA, buying Made in USA and USA Cotton cuts down on shipping pollution and supports local workers.

GreenEdge Kids offers what we think is the best and largest selection out there of organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, Tencel, made in USA, fair trade, and otherwise sustainable or eco-friendly children's clothing - so you don't have to search all over the place to get your kids to look good, feel good, and be green!

We, as buyers, are in control of the demand. When we choose to buy eco-friendly kids' clothing, we shift the demand to sustainable children's clothing, promote change, and reduce the impact on our environment.

No matter how old they are, your girls will love the quality that comes with what they are wearing from our online boutique. Stay Eco-Friendly Throughout 2012

Here are simple inexpensive ways you can stay green and maintain an eco-friendly lifestyle!

  1. Bring reusable bags with you to grocery stores and shopping trips.
  2. Grow a garden! Grow vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, or beans. You will save a lot of money and will be eating fresh at the same time.
  3. Minimize food waste. Eat your food within the expiration dates so you won’t have to throw anything out. Also, make sure to eat your leftovers instead of leaving them in the fridge to rot.
  4. Use a compost to enrich your soil. In the case of rotting foods, create a compost pile to use for the soil in your garden!
  5. Go to your local library to rent books, DVDs, and CDs instead of buying them yourself.
  6. Bike or carpool to work and school.
  7. Shop online! You may think WHY? But actually it saves you a lot of time and is more earth-friendly than going out to your favorite stores. You can start by checking out GreenEdge Kids; an online eco-friendly children’s clothing boutique.

Start with these eco-friendly inexpensive ways to be green and see the difference in your lifestyle quickly.
