I found Loot! recycled glass jewelry at the Seattle Green Festival, and it was beautiful, for a very reasonable price. I will look at getting some up for sale on GreenEdge Kids, but in the meantime, check it out here. Designer Genevieve Church takes glass artist's leftovers and melts them together to make beautiful multi-colored drops into earrings and necklaces.
They're not marketed to kids, and in fact my friend's 8-year-old managed to drop hers fairly quickly, but it was only because she loved it so much and was playing with it. I can't see it going anywhere on an older girl, and they're not so exorbitantly expensive that you couldn't replace one if you had to.
